Fifth Tuesday of Lent

Joseph Laurens Dyckmans, The Blind Beggar, 1853

To be blind is not miserable; not to be able to bear the blindness, that is miserable.
John Milton

We're blind to our blindness. We have very little idea of how little we know.
Daniel Kahneman

An eye for an eye only leads to more blindness.
Margaret Atwood

  1. Such wise words…. I especially like those of Margaret Atwood...

  2. I do, too I love her writing - The Handmaid's Tale and Alias Grace are real favourites :)

    1. I shall have to look into those… ;-)

    2. The Handmaid's Tale is a modern classic, and is on the English Literature syllabus in some schools. They made a film in 1990, but not great. Book is brilliant, though!
Another great Atwood book is The Blind Assassin which won the Booker in 2000 x

  3. Thank you for such lovely inspiration. I just joined your follow so I do not miss the encouragement. L

Thank you for taking the time to comment - I really appreciate it!
It's good to know I'm not alone :)
