Focus on Life Week 9: Macro photo

How can it be March already???

But it is, and this month's Focus on Life topic is Checking Out - interesting...

And this week, 'we are going to get up close and really check things out!'

Trouble is, once you start taking macro shots, it's hard to know when to stop - textures and colours are so interesting up close...

And before I forget, there's still time to enter this weeks giveaway - this sweet necklace.

There's more pics and info here where you can leave a comment, if you wish to enter the draw :-)

    1. It's a setting on posh cameras, I understand... though my camera just says 'close up mode'. You'd think it should be micro really, as you zoom in really close to see extra detail...

  3. You had fun this week! I found when I got to the computer to edit that very few of the pictures were truely in focus so it made choosing quite easy! Like your flowers especially the third one!

  4. I must say I am partial to the 4th photo down that looks like some kind of a decadent sweet. (Can you tell I've been avoiding sugar????) Beautiful photos this week, Claire!

  6. Claire you did a wonderful job with your close up photos. I like the second one best as it shows the pollen too.

  9. Claire, your macros are fantastic and I can totally relate to not being able to stop taking them! Sometimes you can't even see the detail until you take an up close photo.

  13. Great shots! I usually get that way about doing macros of flowers, but in the summer when subjects are abundant. Beautiful work!

  15. Gorgeous collection of shots - I love the alstromeria/lilies? - especially the pollen dust - beautiful. The chocolate looks divine and I wondered whether it was cake size or sweet size at first, but being a macro shot it is probably just a small mouthful (so not too naughty)!
