Here's some completed pages - and yes, I did stick down the page spread I showed last week :)
(Inside the front cover)
Lift the flap...
(Next spread with several flaps!)
(No flaps on this one - just pasted whole page of Words of Wisdom from a copy of Harper's Bazaar - some great quotes!!)
(Inside the back over)
Realized I didn't show you the back of the journal last week...
I think that's enough photos for this week - I know Julia likes the posts to be short...
But I just want to point you to this week's Giveaway - a beautiful handmade sketchbook
You can find more photos and comments here. Leave a comment over there if you want to enter the draw...
Now to visit some crafty desks xx
These are so pretty ....

If I wrote caligraphy as well as you, I would be a very happy person. As it is, I can barely read my own writing. Lovely pages. I'm with you. I love flaps and hidden messages or photos. Happy WOYWW from #1.

I'm not participating in WOYWW this week but wanted to stop by and visit.
I hope you are feeling better and getting some relief.
Happy WOYWW
Hugs, Kay
What an amazing journal you have made! I've never done any with flaps and hidden things, although as a child I always enjoyed them too.

Thanks for stopping by this week.

Well, I've read all the posts on this page today - how varied the topics are that you discuss. I found the one about wabi sabi very interesting indeed, also the one about your thoughts on church. I love churches, the feeling imbued in their fabric is palpable...religious music is wonderful, art and sculpture is amazing but I cannot escape the fact that I detest the 'our religion is best and the only one' attitude of so many people. So I describe myself as spiritual rather than religious.....

Layers and layers of beauty. Love it! I never get tired of layering my art journal pages. It's funny because I just read Jan's comment, and I already feel like I have so much in common with her - but I too describe myself as spiritual rather than religious - love that. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #34
ReplyDeleteI think Blogland - and WOYWW - draws kindred spirits... I'd describe myself in the same way :) It's lovely that we can find each from all corners of the globe x
DeleteBeautiful journal pages Claire. I like flaps and pockets too! I am not religious as such I just try live a good and honest life, treating people with respect and lending a helping hand when necessary. I think this is far more important than any religious title. Thanks for making me stop and think a bit …
