I totally agree with Sally's sentiment to 'enjoy the beauty that abounds in our world', but we've seen little sun in our part of the UK, and any natural beauty has been shrouded in very chilly mist and fog...
I can barely see my beloved pine trees in the distance...
But a neighbour's tree does have a certain ethereal beauty shrouded in mist...
Hopefully, you've had sun where you live, and as we all know, Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder...
And this week's Giveaway is beautiful - a fine sliver ginkgo necklace. There's more photos and info over at the Giveaway post here where you can leave a comment to enter tomorrow drawing
I like fog, wish, it were more often (in Germany).
ReplyDeleteHave a quiet and sunny day
It's great how fog can be such a soulful ethereal picture. Well shot claire

I think there is something quite mystical and beautiful about mist and fog. Makes me feel like I'm in a wonderland!!!
ReplyDeleteI love foggy days just as much as I like sunny days. There's a certain hush that makes you slow down and just be in the moment. Your photos are lovely.
ReplyDeleteActually there really is such beauty in your photographs! They're deep, they make you pause, think, remember. Beautiful. Great posts for this week's prompt!
ReplyDeleteWe had sun on Tuesday when I took my pictures... then we had a three day storm Just what we needed more snow.. I like that faded look in the first picture!
ReplyDeleteI think there is beauty in fog and you managed to capture it! Beautiful shots!
ReplyDeletePictures like this remind me why I wouldn't be able to live in parts of the UK - just the thought of fog brings sheer panic. Not sure why, could be because I have trouble breathing when it's foggy, could be because I read 'The Hound of Baskerville' when I was grade 1 or 2 (in German, of all things!) and it simply stayed with me :) But your pictures are amazing :)
ReplyDeleteI often wake up to mist hovering over the forest, which I can see from my bedroom window. Beautiful, mysterious and peaceful. Not a bad way to start the day.
ReplyDeleteFog can be very beautiful. Also it can be fleeting. I have been known to miss a photograph of fog, because it was there, and then gone.
ReplyDeleteMist does make everything mysterious and beautifulI
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures - we've had so much thick fog here on the coast, and the fog horns have been keeping me awake the last few nights, but I love the sound of them and I love the eerie feel of fog. The silhouette effect in your first photo is beautiful - and I love the one looking up the tree - it has a lovely ethereal quality.
ReplyDeleteThe fog makes things seem so peaceful. A quiet magical beauty.
ReplyDeleteLove both pictures-they look like a movie setting. I always like the feeling that fog brings that you are the only one around - except when you have to drive in it!
ReplyDeletevery atmospheric photos - nice!
ReplyDeletemy view was impeded by a whirling snowstorm yesterday !
Even the fog can be a compelling subject, as is so beautifully illustrated in your photos!
