Boy, the days go by so quickly, so here I am once again sharing 5 random facts with the world and Nancy over at A Rural Journal...
1. I try, and generally fail, to eat my 5-a-day - but I do love to see a full fruit bowl!
2. I know I love my kitty too much, but how can I not??
Here she is pretending to be a spooky(?) work of art with laser eyes :-)
3. Though physically I can't get close to hug a tree any more (can't balance safely enough on uneven ground), I do feel a deep connection to them.
Here's Lady Birch - a favourite tree of mine!
4. I don't do it nearly enough, but whenever I write/journal/create, I feel so much better - more alive!
5. And this week's Giveaway is all about that :-)
Leave a comment here (where there are more pics and info), if you'd like to win this ultra-cute notebook!
And that's it for this week!
Blessings for the creatively random week ahead xx
Oh, your kitty does have wicked eyes in that photo! He must be put out that you are taking his picture? lol
ReplyDeleteI'm new visiting here, so I don't know, but if you drew those portraits he is sitting by, you certainly are talented!!! I took art two years in school and could never get the mouth to look right. Eyes, yes, Nose, yes. Mouth, impossible for me!!!
Sadly not :( Can't even remember where I got them, but I do like them :)
DeleteProves cats' eyes really do reflect, and you're right, she wasn't impressed I'd taken a photo :D
You can't love a kitty "too much" ! You just love it even if the others think that you love it too much ! I love my kitties too and couldn't imagine a life without them !
ReplyDeleteCute kitty! Beautiful shots.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Hope to see you on my blog:)
Beautiful creative artwork!! And I too love kitties...we have a black one named Tahoe and a white Persian named Winston. Oh yes...trees...love 'em.
ReplyDeleteOh, I do love your kitty! Very cute acting spooky.
ReplyDeleteWe've two black beauties too but they have shorter hair. I enjoyed your five randoms...plus the interesting links you share...
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought that was a stuffed kitty -- lol. Nice of her to pose for you! Thank you for joining in this week Claire.
ReplyDeleteYes that is a spooky look! She's beautiful
ReplyDeleteI feel more alive when I journal too!
What a perfect place for your kitty to be sitting. They are so much company. Lovely journal
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have that ultra cute notebook. Put me in. I too love my kitty too much-if there is such a thing. Yours is cute. 5 a day is tall order. I usually fit in 3, but not so much on the veggies. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteYour cat likes to pose that much is clear. I feel so much better too when I do something creative.
ReplyDeleteWho wouldn't love a kitty who wants to be an Egyptian statue? That's what she looks like to me anyway. I try to be creative every day even if it's just making a nice meal.
ReplyDeleteCats, don't get me started. I have lost my mind over a new kitten.--she is not that fond of me, cats!
ReplyDeleteI love kitties, so I adore the shot of your kitty! That's also a great shot of the tree. I enjoyed your Random 5 and agree, too, that it's hard to eat 5 servings of fruit!
ReplyDeleteYour cat sure is getting a lot of adoration in the comments section, and she is a beauty, however, I am adoring what you wrote in your journal...Puddle. What an amazing piece of writing. You can put my name down for the give-away. I am a journal/notebook freak.
ReplyDeleteYour kitty is pretending to be a statue. I love trees, too - I'll hug one for you.
ReplyDeleteWow! You are so right about kitty's eyes!!!! Very mesmerizing!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed your random 5.
diane @ thoughts and shots
Your kitty does have an intense stare there....feed me! Pet me! Lovely birch tree too. It has been a long time since I have seen one.
ReplyDeleteLive life to the fullest and do what you love to do.
ReplyDeleteI try to eat my five in the a.m. so I don't have to think about it again. Love your kitty.
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh at your comment of liking a full fruit bowl yet struggling to eat your five a day... There's a connection there perhaps? ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh and I LOVE your cat, so pretty. I'm horribly allergic so can't have one myself but oh how I'd love a black cat...
I too strive to eat more fruits and vegetables but somehow the cookies always look better.....the struggles of trying to be more healthy. I like your choice of tree, my favorite is very similar in color the sycamore...I love the white bark. You just need a little tree in a pot and you could hug it everyday!
