You simply will not be the same person two months from now after consciously giving thanks each day for the abundance that exists in your life. And you will have set in motion an ancient spiritual law: the more you have and are grateful for, the more will be given you.
Sarah Ban Breathnach
Wise words indeed! I've kept a gratitude journal for years (except for the years after the stroke and I couldn't read and write), recording at least 5 things I am grateful for each day.
I've been keeping it with extra enthusiasm since I started this new blog on 19 November last year, giving thanks for all the lovely, lovely people who visit and comment - truly, you all make my day :-)
So here's this week's Giveaway for you - a cute, cute journal I bought a few weeks ago online from here. I was so taken with it, I just didn't check the dimensions (A6 approx. 15cm x 10cm) - and it's just too small for me to write in!!
But it is perfect for someone with two useable hands to keep in a handbag to jot notes in...
or record great thoughts while commuting...
or doodle in boring meetings...
or even to use as a gratitude journal maybe :D
If you'd like to win this ultra-cute notebook - to use however you choose! - leave a comment below, and I'll draw a winner next Sunday, 23 February at 11am GMT
Giveaway 3 winner
Thank you to everyone who entered my third giveaway.
There were 33 entries, and using an online random number generator, the winner is comment no. 1
Well done, Michelle !!
If you can email me your snail mail address (using the Contact Form in the sidebar), I'll get this lovely necklace in the post to you this week :-)
Your giveaways are delightful! I totally agree about being grateful and would love to win this cute little journal! Perhaps I'll be blessed for my big birthday! Hugs, TerriReplyDelete

Thanks for your kindness to give you birthday gift to another.ReplyDelete
Well this is absolutely lovely! Yes, please enter me in this giveaway, and please stop by for some tea! AlohaReplyDelete
P.S. I'm in the LYA postcard swap, too! Maybe we will get each other's! Have a great day!ReplyDelete
Congratulations to Michelle! I love the graph paper pages in the journal....hard to find journals with those pages.ReplyDelete
I love journals, what a lovely giveaway :)ReplyDelete
Lucky Michelle. CongratulationsReplyDelete
Congrats to Michelle. The journal would be perfect for a quilter with the inclusion of graph paper. I try to quilt a little. I enjoy looking at pictures of quilts and "sketching" patterns of some of the easier patterns on graph paper. I went through a period of great unhappiness and my therapist had me start keeping a gratitude journal. I'm the one who is responsible for my own happiness. Focusing on the positives rather the negatives is healthier, anyhow. Blessings and have a great, great week. I hope the drear lifts. I haven't looked outside to see what the weather is - I think we are supposed to have a sunny, sunny day. I saw gentleman (and maybe ladies) playing golf yesterday. I live in Oklahoma. It was a tad chilly when I left for church and I certainly didn't need my coat after church.ReplyDelete
Looks like a cute notebook! Thanks for the chance!ReplyDelete
That notebook looks lovely and inviting - I'm sure one couldn't help but be creative with it!ReplyDelete
Thanks so much for your generosity! :) It's an awesome little notebook.ReplyDelete
Beautiful notebook thanks for the chanceReplyDelete
i've been reading about journal writing and have decided to give it a go. I also try and keep a notebook with me at all times to jot down interesting things I come across. I have to confess to doodling in meetings-did it just last night in fact-and was observed doing it-oops. Hugs to you for another lovely give away.ReplyDelete
Count me in please!
I wandered off to look at that site you mentioned. It's got some gorgeous things on there - only just remembered to come back :DReplyDelete
I'd love to enter your giveaway - thank you for the chance. You should join us in Rocking Fridays over at Virginia's: http://celtichouse.blogspot.co.uk/2014/02/rocking-your-world-and-last-of-wear.html it sounds like the same thing you are doing. Looking back on your week and picking out the positives x
I love your little book easel too - with the doodads to hold open the pages. What a great idea!
I'm grateful to have come across your blog and to read your story Claire. What a great place Blogland is. So many inspirational people, including you.ReplyDelete
That is nice that you do that. I have always intended to do something like that but never follow through! however... I have a grand daughter that turns 14 in April... she loves to write and doodle and since she could write, she loves to make up and write stories! She'd love this book! Make a great B-day present for her!ReplyDelete
Fab little journal - are the illustrations already there or did you do them?ReplyDelete
Hugs, Neet 49 on WOYWW xx
The illustrations are already there, Neet, which is what I love about it! I confess I wouldn't be giving t away if it were larger :DDelete
I started to keep a gratitude journal in January 2013. It's interesting to see what I mentioned each day -- it's even better than a diary because I really focus only on the good. :)
Your little journal would make a great gratitude journal once I have filled in my current one, so please count me in for this drawing. And you bet that you have already sneaked your way into my gratitude journal -- for your kind words and, of course, also for the lovely book you sent my way.
What a lovely comment, Birgit, you've made my day - to think I'm mentioned in your gratitude journal :DDelete
This sounds like a perfect journal that I could keep in my very small purse. I'd be thrilled to call it mine.ReplyDelete
BTW, congrats to Michelle. That is one fantastic necklace.
Would love to win this journal and sorry that you can't use it. I too keep a gratitude journal thanks to Sarah ban breathnach. Changes your attitude. Hugs from texasReplyDelete
She got me started too when I first read her Simple Abundance years ago!! What a lovely connection we share, Jeanne :)Delete
Oh my - this IS adorable. I used to keep a gratitude journal and somehow the habit slipped away. I would love to be entered, however I feel like I already won something being reminded of doing a gratitude journal!!! I will start again TODAY!!!!ReplyDelete
