A day trip to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park last Sunday...
An iconic Henry Moore sculpture sitting among the sheep...
A mighty oak...
Moore's Reclining Woman
A Barbara Hepworth icon...
A truly massively impressive piece by Ursula von Rydingsvard...
What a peaceful setting. That last piece is truly amazing! What is it made of?ReplyDelete
Have a great weekend ~ FlowerLady
Can you believe it's metal?? It's formed to look like rock, yet the top has this amazing metallic lace-effect... And it's huge - maybe 20ft high...Delete
It rises up as you enter the park :)
WOW ~ METAL! I never would have guessed that. I loved the lacy top, and the base really looked like stone. GREAT piece.Delete
Great way to spend the day. Very peaceful!ReplyDelete
I love the sculpture park. That last photo is fascinating!ReplyDelete
Great photos, Claire, lovely memories of summer, eh? :)ReplyDelete
I wrote in my journal the day after that while it exhausted me (took 2 days to recover), it was so worth it - gathering all the golden-lit memories... *sigh*
Glorious photos. Looks like such a beautiful place.ReplyDelete
