A day trip to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park last Sunday...
An iconic Henry Moore sculpture sitting among the sheep...
A mighty oak...
Moore's Reclining Woman
A Barbara Hepworth icon...
A truly massively impressive piece by Ursula von Rydingsvard...
So pretty!
ReplyDeleteWhat a peaceful setting. That last piece is truly amazing! What is it made of?

Can you believe it's metal?? It's formed to look like rock, yet the top has this amazing metallic lace-effect... And it's huge - maybe 20ft high...
DeleteIt rises up as you enter the park :)
WOW ~ METAL! I never would have guessed that. I loved the lacy top, and the base really looked like stone. GREAT piece.

Exactly, Wendy!
DeleteI wrote in my journal the day after that while it exhausted me (took 2 days to recover), it was so worth it - gathering all the golden-lit memories... *sigh*
Glorious photos. Looks like such a beautiful place.
