Focus on Life Week 30: Celebrate YOU by documenting a moment of life

I don't know if it was the fact Sally used the word 'document' in this week's prompt, but this is me documenting addresses from my old address book onto new cards which are kept in a gorgeous East of India wooden box - with a little help from my wee angel :)

Even though handwriting's still a challenge, who doesn't like receiving REAL mail??

And if anyone in the group would like a note from England, just drop me an email using the Contact Form - let's celebrate keeping in touch by documenting moments of our lives in real letters and cards!!

  1. I agree! I am a stickler for sending hand-written thank-you notes, birthday cards and other assorted "snail mail." I think it shows that a little extra of time, thought and care went into the message. Love those cards, BTW!

  3. A few years ago I joined an online challenge to send 52 letters in 52 weeks. I successfully accomplished that goal. It was so much fun that I have renewed the challenge for myself each year since. I haven't received much mail in response, but I still feel that it is very worthwhile. I'm not in the group, but I would love to exchange letters with you if you are interested. kmstandATgvtcDOTcom

  4. I love receiving real letters! And I have been the honored recipient have 3 of Kathleen's handmade cards! I do send the occasional post card when I'm travelling (if I remember my address book!) And I do send a handwritten card with all online sales. fireball -dot- beeds -at- gmail.com

  5. I miss getting written letters. My oldest daughter just sent a cute note from the camp she is working at. It was fun to read. Unfortunately my penmanship is barely legible anymore.

  6. Claire, this is such a wonderful post for this prompt! Written letters are just the best to send and receive, especially in this day and age!! Love your little angel, too!! I would love a note from England and would send one back to you from the heat of the Arizona desert in return. I'll hop on over now and contact you!! :-)

  7. I miss being able to participate in the mail-related things I used to do - Postcrossing and IUOMA. One day they'll be back in the budget, hopefully.

  8. I so agree with you, people have gotten away from the written word! And documenting history...everything is put on line and forgotten....how sad....I would love a note from England every now and again.....I will return the favor....
