Short and sweet, exactly as Julia likes these posts to be :-)
Back on the dining table this week to spread out all my pastels...
I put on this album (a new favourite - I just play it on repeat), and let the music take me on a little journey in a old paper bag journal I got years ago...
I'm really enjoying my art e-course - this week feels much freer :)
Hoping to visit more desks over at the Stamping Ground - the internet connection's much better this week!
ah Clarie you are having fun with your pastels not an easy medium but you are getting there .. well done, Shaz in Oz,x #4
ReplyDeleteI've never used pastels; love your large box though, and the page looks fabulous. Helen 2
ReplyDeleteOh, what fun! I got a new tool for my pastels this last week-end at a stamp show. It is a long handled tool and you put a small pom-pom in it. Then you put that on the pastel and get the color, then color with that. It is more for coloring stamped images, than free hand like you are doing, though. Love your artwork. :) #15
ReplyDeleteHi Claire, glad you're enjoying your art classes - your bowl looks beautiful, makes me think the old chipped bowl can become a lovely colourful mini garden. Happy WOYWW and have a super week RobynO#8
ReplyDeleteMmmm, pastels that look like ice creams and real art in a journal...wow, what a great view!

Gorgeous work - I love the colours you've chosen - the blues in the bowl are so pretty and I really like the shading. Hope you have a great week,

Hi Claire,
ReplyDeleteLove your pastel cup with the flowers. Do you blend them with water (like watercolor pencils) or leave them as is? Glad you are enjoying your on-line course.
Happy belated WOYWW
