Random 5 Friday

A new venture - taking part in Random 5 Fridays.

So here's my five random facts:

1. I am loving this magazine. It's new to me, but it's already on its 8th issue!

2. Our daughter (just turned 16) is a cool artist - she painted this for us for Christmas, the doodles are all freehand in black marker, the cats in acrylic paint. She intended it to hang above our bed, but I display it proudly in the living room for all to see :)

3. I am constantly drinking water with a slice of lemon throughout the day...
Got to keep those wrinkles at bay :)

4. I pray/meditate every day.
At least my stroke-affected right hand can still hold my prayer beads -
when I'm relaxed enough.

5. There's still time to enter this week's Giveaway. I'm having 13 weeks of Giveaways to celebrate my 50th birthday on April 28, and I'm happy to ship worldwide from the UK.
Leave a comment on the Giveaway post here (where's there's more info and photos),
or mention below you'd like to enter, and I'll add your name to the draw on Sunday :-)

And that's it for my first Random 5.
I'm not sure if they meet the spec, but I'll know when I visit others' lists...
Thanks for reading xx

    1. I'm hoping I've done it right... Nancy, the hostess, doesn't post hers and the link-ups till later today, so I'm running blind at the mo... It is a great idea though, isn't it?

  4. Talented daughter . . . such fun watching our children "find their way!"
You did just find for your first Random . . . Welcome!
I am a lemon and water "daily" too . . . I have struggled with kidney stones, one of the "must do" from my urologist. And so far I am almost to a year, kidney stone free . . .

  7. Welcome to Random Five. You will love it, it is a great community of fun people. Your daughter is an amazing artist. I always displayed my daughter's stuff right out there too, but mine I always tucked away in more hidden parts of the house. That is changing :)

  15. Welcome to Random 5, Claire! I read your about-me with great interest. I had a stroke 3 years ago and my right side was also affected. The photo on the magazine you show reminds me of a book I'm reading, Women Who Run With the Wolves by Clarissa Pinkola Estes.

Your daughter is incredibly talented! Naturally you want everyone to enjoy her art.

For me, it's hot water. 8-10 cups a day. But I just noticed two wrinkles yesterday, so I don't think it's working! lol

What Buttons said. It must be very comforting to be able to hold your prayer beads.

I just had my 51st birthday 3 months ago. Happy pre-birthday!
