Paint Party Friday

Been absent for a while - but I hope to visit the party more regularly now...

Playing with colour - first, making a colour wheel with my pastels - not as easy as you'd think, especially on watercolour paper(!) - needed several layers, and made a lot of dust!!

Then to actual watercolour - just love the contrasting 'emotion' of the pages... the power of colour :-)

Join the party over here!

  1. I think that the effect you get with 'chalky' pastels is lovely but they are so messy. Have you tried Pan Pastels they are lower in dust residue. Lovely effect with the watercolours. Welcome back to PPF.

  2. Really powerful color wheels, loved the way you managed to keep some colors apart and others tints blend together!

  7. good to see you at PPF again. LOVE those vibrant watercolor pages and your color wheel turned out perfectly. I spray my dry pastel projects either with an acrylic fixative or plain ole hairspray(from a can) to seal them.

  10. Your color wheel is excellent. Recently I came across the ones I did in Art 101 in college. One I got an A, but the other one was messy and I got a B . Yours is an A.
